Research Interests

The area of research that I am focusing on is developing a better understanding of aqueous charge localization using cluster phase chemistry to study small, ionic structures. The noncovalent interactions of gaseous systems are observed with experimental and theoretical methods for a comprehensive structural analysis. The current method of study is looking at predominant, biological molecules interacting with a solvated electon(aq) in the gas phase using a time-of-flight mass spectrometer in union with a Nd:YAG pumped OPO/OPA laser. With the conjunctive approach of both high level theory and customized experiment, accurate geometric structures can be assigned to ionic clusters.
