MATTHEW MCDOWELL

HOMETOWN

Brazoria, TX

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

B.S. in Chemistry, University of Mississippi, 2011

Honors Thesis

Research Interests

I joined the Hammer Research group in 2009 where I initially assisted in the design and construction of a time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOF-MS). I later converted the TOF-MS into a reflectron TOF-MS for the probing of small molecular clusters with a tunable IR laser.
